H1B Quota Still available

In October 2000, congress increased the H1B cap from 1,15,000 to 1,95,000. Last year the H1B cap has been reached on Mar-21. According to INS sources, there are still lots of visas are available for this fiscal year (i.e) Oct-2000 to Sep-2001. But INS didn't come up with the exact number of Visas issued so far.

Due to drastic changes in the US economy, many H1B sponsoring companies havn't filed many H1B visas as they are estimated. IT industry is looking for increase and growth in US economy after the second quarter results.
